The Friends of Rectory Green, a group of residents who all want to see the community come together recently organised a V.E. Commemoration Party.
Over 60 residents, members of the local community and school children form St Mary’s primary School came together for food, 1940’s music, games and a chance to catch up with friends old and new.
Many attendees dressed in 1940’s garb and as the photographs will show the event was enjoyed by all. The event was the idea of the community and with some help from local businesses and Prestwich and North Western was a great way to bring people together.
