Tenants Association
I am pleased to let you know that a new committee has been formed after we received applications for the positions of Chair, Treasurer and Secretary.
Since they were selected the committee has been working to establish themselves, set up a bank account and have hosted their first meet and greet event at the newly refurbished community room, formerly the board room.
The session held on the 22nd of July was well attended and the committee were able to set out their vision of how the room could be used in the future, as well as received many and varied ideas for the future.
To start the ball rolling a breakfast event will be held 9.00 until 11.00 on Friday the 16th of August. This is free and open to everyone on the site.

Finally some sad news…..
I updated you about the newly formed Tenants Association earlier in this letter but what I didn’t say was that along with Christine, Gerald and Collete, Derek Buckly was selected to be the Vice-Chair.
Unfortunately, Derek sadly died last Friday, and I know that he and his wife Hazel was known to many of you across the site. In the short time he served as Vice-Chair Derek was really enthusiastic about the new Tenants Association contributing many ideas and offering sage advice on how the association should be run.
He was keen that the association was a force for good that brought people together and create a community spirit that was open to all.
A lovely man eager to help in any way he could, he will be sadly missed, and our heartfelt condolences go to Hazel and all his family and friends.
