Fire Safety
As reported last year we commissioned new fire risk assessments across the site. The main recommendations were that new door closers be fitted to tenants’ front doors and that smoke alarms in flats be improved.
Most flats now have a door closer fitted if your is still outstanding please contact the office to let us know when we can come and fit yours.
These devices ensure front doors close behind you to ensure the escape route of the main stairwells are always protected from the spread of fire and smoke. Changes to the smoke alarms will take place in the next few months and we will be contacting you for access at soon.
Also included with this letter is a fire safety leaflet that sets out the dos and don’ts and what you can do to reduce the likelihood of a fire occurring or spreading. Please read this leaflet and if anything is unclear, please contact the office for further advice.
